Job Purpose

Responsible for Firmware Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in testing key functionalities including HDMI,RDK services , Dolby, streaming services (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube), and overall product and user experience. And you will test all cod, API’s, firmware layers integration (Kernel Linux, embedded browser till Application layer.) and manage firmware bugs.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive testing of various smart TV features, including HDMI connectivity, Dolby audio support, streaming services compatibility (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube), and overall product and user experience.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python to ensure efficient and repeatable testing procedures.
Create detailed test cases and test plans based on product requirements, ensuring full coverage of all features and functionalities.
Detect, document, and report defects, Bugs, issues, and inconsistencies in TV Operating system functionality, providing clear and actionable bug reports.
Collaborate with the Firmware development and product teams to identify and solve technical problems and challenges.
Maintain a high standard of quality in testing, identifying and resolving defects and ensuring the highest level of user satisfaction.
Assess and provide insights into user and product experience, making recommendations for improvements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to ensure a smooth testing process and product delivery.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
2-4 years of experience in a relevant field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on smart testing product, is required.
Proficiency in writing automated tests using Python and relevant testing frameworks.
Strong capability to design comprehensive and effective test cases and test plans.
Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks commonly used in the field of quality assurance.
Experience in testing smart TV features and functionalities, including HDMI, Dolby, and streaming services (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications: Certifications related to Kubernetes, Python, or cloud platforms can be an added advantage.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues.
