Job Purpose
- Empowering the sales team to achieve their sales targets and increase the company's market share by providing marketing support that strengthens the positioning of El-Araby’s brands in the target markets, enhances their mental presence among customers, and fosters customer loyalty.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze current market conditions to assess the need for adjusting existing business strategies in line with emerging changes.
- Conduct benchmarking to evaluate the competitive position and the standing of competitors in the target markets.
- Collect and analyze data to assess competitors’ brand positions, product specifications, pricing, and marketing activities.
- Provides Brand Management HQ with insights on market realities and verifies the existence of any registered trademarks bearing the name "Tornado" or similar names.
- Contribute to updating the brand positioning in the target markets.
- Participate in determining the reference selling price for products in each market and building the cost structure per country.
- Support the definition of warranty duration and terms for each product in coordination with Customer Service, Brand Management, and Cost Management, based on a deep understanding of market conditions.
- Report on the status of competing brands in the market and supplies Brand Management HQ with all relevant data.
- Monitor the performance of ElARABY owned brands in the market and provides Brand Management HQ with feedback regarding product quality, availability, price competitiveness, and after-sales service issues.
- Provide recommendations regarding the proposed product line-up for the markets, as well as any new products required.
- Share results of monitoring and implementation of the Brand Strategy in the country with Brand Management HQ, along with observations and recommendations.
- Implement the Brand Strategy on the ground and provides feedback on its execution.
- Ensure adherence to approved guidelines (dos and don’ts) in the execution of marketing activities.
- Execute regional marketing campaigns, taking into account cultural and local differences in the country / oversees execution when handled by a third party.
- Ensure execution of marketing campaigns and activities within the approved budget / monitors execution when outsourced to a third party.
- Recommend advertising agencies to be engaged for executing local marketing activities.
- Coordinate with the advertising agency in designing and building digital promotional content for the market.
- Negotiate with distributors and retailers on appropriate product display spaces.
- Propose suitable locations for outdoor and billboard advertising in the market and negotiates terms and costs with the agency.
- Monitor and evaluates the effectiveness of marketing activities and campaigns on product performance in the market and their impact on achieved sales volumes.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in brand marketing or consumer marketing, preferably in the electronics .
- Experience in managing marketing agencies and running integrated campaigns.
- Strong understanding of brand management and local market dynamics.
- Analytical skills and the ability to turn market data into actionable insights.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- Fluent in English and Swahili;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools (e.g., Meta Ads, Google Ads, Canva, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
